Pumice is used most commonly in the Nursery industry for striking cuttings and in propagation mixes. It is a light weight material of volcanic origin used to add porosity to growing media as well as improving drainage.

Pumice is used extensively by commercial growers to improve their soil or mix, as it improves aeration in the soil without sacrificing water holding capabilities. Pumice also has excellent drainage, making it quite a unique product.

Can I use Pumice on other things?

Yes! Pumice can be used as a decorative product as well, for example on top of pots to help keep in moisture and add a bit of decoration.
