What are Water Holding Crystals?

As their name suggests, they are little crystals that are designed to retain water in your mix, reducing the need for frequent watering. We use these in our Patio Plus Potting Mix 

What are the benefits of using Water Holding Crystals?

  • It will reduce the amount of watering required

  • Creates a reservoir of water for your plant to call on

  • Great for controlling water if you are heading away on holiday 

How much should I use?

Water Holding Crystals should be applied at 1-2 grams per litre of pot. We advise that you use these in potting mixes and mix thoroughly to get an even spread throughout the pot.
